The format of this installation is based on 16:1 scale replicas of: a standard box of slides (containing 24 transparencies) and a generic hand-held viewer. The oversized 32” square slides, the 48”x 36”x 36” box and the 38”x 50” x 9” viewer are made with lacquered Baltic birch.

The 16”x 23” images are rendered with traditional kiln-fired vitreous enamel (the paint used in ancient representational stained glass windows) on heavy (5mm) float glass panes. This installation was shown at the Modern Fuel/State of Flux ARC in Kingston ON.
